Two confirmed cases of the red measles in Regina
The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is warning the public that two confirmed cases of the red measles have shown up in Regina.
Two young children with have been diagnosed with the highly contagious disease and are now resting at home.
Deputy Medical Health Officer with the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region Dr. Maurice Hennick says the children are nine months and three years old.
“The first one is recovering well, the second little one, I spoke with the nursing staff today, and they indicated that he's still quite sick,” he said, adding that the children do live in the same household, but are not siblings.
