Work Shop Theme: “FASD – Strategies for Caregivers”

This work shop will focus on children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, parents, caregivers, family workers and other extended family members. Children need to have advocates from family, extended families and any educational influences. The caregivers need to know where they can turn if they require more tools, material or resources.

This information is essential to anyone who works with families.

The work shop will help all caregivers to formulate and empower themselves with the availability of numerous strategies. All caregivers need to be supported in their role in caring for their children and families.

Who should be attending?
Parents, frontline workers, healthcare workers, childcare workers, family workers, caregivers, and Cognitive Disabilities Strategy Mentors, and education assistants. This would also include anyone who would be working with FASD affected individuals.
