Film Tour Coming to Melfort

On May 20th, the Yorkton Film Festival Golden Sheaf Awards Tour is coming to Melfort.

The tour will include a series of four short films making up 1hour, 42minutes. The films will be shown in the CJVR Performing Arts Theatre, 7pm. Admission is $5.00 for adults/senior and $2.00 for anyone 15 & under. This particular tour is the Yorkton Film Festival’s General Tour and includes films dealing with a wide range of topics.

Along with the Yorkton Film Festival Tour, the Toronto Film Festival will also be touring the great Canadian film, Score: A Hockey Musical June 3rd in the CJVR Performing Arts Theatre. The film will begin at 7pm and admission is $10.00 for adults/seniors and $5.00 for anyone $5.00 & under. The film is based around a seventeen year old, Farley, who has been dubbed the next Sidney Crosby, not that he knows who Crosby is. He’s led a sheltered life but when Farley is signed to a major hockey league, where he achieves instant stardom his life changes instantly.
