Riverside Community School staff and students released balloons on Friday.

They attached notes to them and did it on the riverbank. It was in remembrance of Wayne Ballantyne, a 13-year-old who was the victim in last weekend's car fire.

Ballantyne was a Grade 8 student at Riverside Community School.
