Service disruptions planned for Shellbrook Hospital
Emergency Department services at the Shellbrook Hospital will be suspended for five nights in June because of a lack of doctor coverage.
From 5 p.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Thursday, on June 8, 15 and 22 as well as 5 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday, the nights of June 16 and 23, the Emergency Department will not be available to the public.
The physicians in Shellbrook will continue to provide call at all other times, with additional support from Prince Albert-based physicians.
This is a continuation of the closures that occurred in May, after a contract physician completed his term in the community.
