Worker dies in potash mine near Colonsay, Saskatchewan

A potash miner is dead after a workplace accident at the Mosaic Potash Mine in Colonsay, east of Saskatoon.

RCMP Sgt. Paul Dawson said the miner died at the scene Thursday morning.

“An employee at the Mosaic Potash Mine in Colonsay at there was a mine vehicle that overturned while being driven at the mine,” said Dawson.

Occupational Health and Safety investigators are investigating.

The miner's name has not been released.
