West Flat death ruled a homicide

Police are calling the death of a 41-year-old man in Prince Albert’s West Flat a homicide.

This afternoon Sgt. Jason Stonechild, with the Prince Albert Police Service, identified the victim as Anthony Martin Custer.

Early this morning police arrested two adult males and an adult female in relation to the death, he said.

“The arrests were made without incident and with the assistance of Prince Albert SWAT team,”

Stonechild said, adding he could not release why the SWAT team was called out.

He said Custer and the arrested subjects knew each other.

There are two people in custody and charges are pending as police continue to investigate.

Police are not releasing how the man died.

Custer was found in the evening of July 12 in the 1100 block of 18th Street West, he died in hospital.
