The Sheepdogs win the cover of Rolling Stone

The Sheepdogs, a Saskatoon Band with Prince Albert roots, will be on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine later this month.

They were the only competitors from Canada in the “Do you want to be a rock and roll star?” competition put on by famous magazine.

The 70's-style rock group from Saskatoon includes guitarist Leot Hansen from Prince Albert.

With the contest The Sheepdogs will be given a deal with Atlantic Records, and of course the coveted cover of Rolling Stone.

In a press release, Rolling Stone's deputy managing editor, Nathan Brackett, said: “It's impossible not to root for these guys, they have great songs and are the hardest working band in North America … fans made an excellent choice.”
