Aug 6, 2011 | 11:40 AM

Fifty-one athletes from the Sturgeon Lake First Nation posed for some morale-building cheers before heading to the Saskatchewan First Nation Games Friday.

Every band from the Prince Albert Grand Council has sent a contingent of athletes for the track-and-field events. Other sports involved include archery, canoeing, golf, soccer and softball.

The games kick-off today and run until Thursday at the Thunderchild First Nation.
