Regina volunteer group organizes food program for kids

A group of local volunteers and businesses have set up an initiative to provide lunches to underprivileged children.

Many kids can't access local lunch programs while out of school during the summer months.

Wayne Hellquist, CEO of the Regina Food Bank, says the program is vital in order to fight hunger.

“Hunger is a real issue in our community. There is no denying that there is a tremendous number of families and households that go without adequate food supply.”
