NFL player asks Moose Jaw man for his Twitter account name

It's the kind of story that can't be summed up in 140 characters.

Moose Jaw’s Kirk Morrison’s Twitter account name, @kirkmorrison, has drawn a new follower – a NFL linebacker with the same name.

Morrison said the player's publicist offered up a deal in exchange for Morrison giving up his Twitter account name to the football player.

“Well it started just with an offer of signed NFL merchandise …” said Morrison. “Where the offer stands right now is for a trip for me and a guest to go down and watch him play.”

The player is still a free agent and has yet to sign with an NFL club, but rumours are circulating that interested teams include the New York Giants, the Seattle Seahawks and the Philadelphia Eagles.
