Raiders versus kids at Kal Tire

Sep 28, 2014 | 4:32 PM

The Raiders turn over the puck as they face a new generation of players.

The sticks were up and pucks flew during Raiders Day at Prince Albert’s Kal Tire.

Carrie Georgeson, Community Relations with the Prince Albert Raiders, said Kal Tire is a major Western Hockey League Sponsor, and that's why they decided to host this event.

Georgeson said the Raiders participate in several different community events with kids.

“We want to make sure that were engaging the community,” said Georgeson. “We want to make sure that were giving back to the fans who show up for us on a nightly basis. ”

Georgeson said they were expecting around 50 to 60 kids at the event. She said the kids who challenged the Raiders had potential.

“There’s some definite talent in P.A and it’ll be something to look forward to, to see who the next Raider is,” said Georgeson.

Eagles Nest was also on scene providing free drinks and burgers.
