Guilty plea in Saskatoon manslaughter case

Shelby Pinnell, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of a Saskatoon man. 

Pinnell entered the plea Thursday morning, admitting to killing Mervin McAdam, whose body was discovered after a dumpster fire on Avenue S South in February 2012.  His co-accused in that incident was sentenced to 11 years.

Along with the manslaughter charge, Pinnell pleaded guilty to several other counts stemming from seperate incidents, including an attempted murder.

Pinnell was 18 and a member of the Terror Squad street gang when he committed the crimes.
