Safety Boss to put out fire, replace well head near Prud’homme

Oct 17, 2014 | 8:16 AM

It’s a complicated and dangerous operation, but Safety Boss is up for the challenge.

The specialized crew based out of Calgary is the best in the world at knocking down flames at natural gas well head sites. Friday they’re taking  down a large one near Prud’homme.

“They’re not casual about this by any means, but they are saying this is a normal natural gas well head fire,” Dave Burdeniuk, spokesperson for SaskEnergy, said.

Safety Boss will attempt to put the fire out and put on a new well head on Friday. Then they’ll tally up the damage. Right now the estimates put it between $5 and $10 million.
