Pineview residents get cozy with new quilts

On Friday, the Prince Albert Quilters Guild donated 60 quilts to the 60 residents of the Pineview Terrace Lodge as a gift for moving into their new building. 

Barb Dalziel with the Quilters Guild said the idea started with an idea from one of the members of the guild two years ago.

“Her mother in law was a resident at one time, of Pineview and she just really liked the residents at the old place,” Dalziel said.

She said residents and staff members were thankful to the guild for providing the quilts. 

“Everybody is just so overwhelmed,” said Dalziel. “They are just so happy.”

Dalziel said this was their way of letting the residents know that they aren’t forgotten.

“When you move, it’s always nice to have something new and so this is what our thinking was,” she said. “It gave us all such a good feeling when we can see the reaction.”
