Radio Bingo seeks new sponsor

The Victoria Hospital Foundation is ending its sponsorship of Radio Bingo, a popular program every Thursday night on 900 CKBI.

The program has been running for the past six years, helping to purchase new equipment for the Victoria Hospital.

“Our expenses have been running higher, considerably, and you know our expenses are things such as postage and delivering, and printing costs,” said Foundation Executive Director Sherry Buckler.

“We’ve got some great plans for the new year,” said Buckler when asked what future fundraisers the board has planned.

Meanwhile paNOW has been told that Radio Bingo is not ending.

Rawlco Radio is now in the process of looking for a new non-profit group to carry on the tradition.

Prince Albert General Manager Karl Johnston said the group is working on a plan and will soon apply for a gaming license.  The radio station will announce a continuation of the program as soon as the license is approved.
