“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has. ” (Margaret Mead)

The Victoria Hospital Foundation, along with Rawlco Radio, hosted their 9th annual Give a Little Life Day Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Victoria Hospital. The goal was to raise 400,000 for the littlest patients of all: the pediatric and nursery units.

The Victoria Hospital Foundation is proud to announce we have hit our goal and exceeded it.

Our 9th Annual Give a Little Life has raised a total of $418,808.05 with donations still coming in.

“Our Give a Little Life day was a powerful and emotional day. It was inspiring to see the community wrap its arms around its hospital once again. Our goal was to raise $400,000 for our pediatric and nursery units; and as of today’s date, Prince Albert and surrounding communities have raised $418,808.05 with donations still coming in. Thank you again to each and every caring citizen who helped us provide for our most vulnerable patients…our babies and children of the Victoria Hospital,” reflected Sherry Buckler, Executive Director, Victoria Hospital Foundation.

Our hospital takes care of a large area reaching to Fond du Lac, Wollaston and Stony Rapids and offers support to 52 surrounding communities including 12 First Nations. The Victoria Regional Hospital delivers over 1,500 babies a year and over 1,000 sick children are admitted to pediatrics annually.
