Icy roads greet weekend travellers

Jan 24, 2015 | 9:53 AM

Freezing rain has left highways in the province in pretty poor condition Saturday morning.

Travel advisories popped up around North Battleford, Saskatoon and Wakaw as frozen rain coated highways.

A section of highway 26 between Vaun and Turtleford remains closed.

Environment Canada said the system was moving in a diagonal line from Meadow Lake and moving southeast toward Carlyle.
