The man who is accused of killing Alex Whitehead at a house party on New Year’s Day 2022 once again has a warrant for his arrest.

Richard Budd was supposed to appear Wednesday in Prince Albert Provincial Court but did not appear when called so a warrant was issued.

Budd was arrested and charged with second-degree murder four months after Whitehead’s death, and was released on bail in mid-January of this year.

On March 23, a warrant was issued for his arrest and he was found by Prince Albert Police on April 5.

When they found him, police allege they also seized a sawed-off shotgun and the arrest involved a short foot chase.
