P.A. police investigating homicide at care home

Prince Albert police are investigating a homicide at a care home in the city.

It happened on August 14 at the home on 7 Ave and 28 Street East.

According to a release on Wednesday, police said an 85-year-old woman died on Aug. 19, due to “injuries received” during an assault from another resident of the care home.

A 76-year-old woman has been identified as a suspect in the incident but has not been charged yet, as police continue to investigate.

Police do not believe there is a danger to the public at this time. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
