Update: Amber Alert cancelled after child found safe

An Amber Alert has been cancelled for a two-year-old boy from Regina.

Police issued it shortly around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday but it was lifted a few hours later after the child was found safe.

A 36-year-old woman was also taken into custody without incident.

The Regina Police Service, who requested the alert, thank the public and the media for their help during the situation.
