Food Day back this weekend recognizing Canadian food and farmers
Food Day Canada is once again being celebrated in Saskatchewan.
On July 30, people are encouraged to showcase different cuisine while also recognizing the people who helped create them.
“We recognize the hardworking and dedicated individuals that help create the healthy and sustainable food that brings us all together,” said David Marit, Saskatchewan’s Agriculture Minister.
Food Day Canada officially started back in 2003 as a way to support the Canadian cattle industry. It’s since evolved into an annual celebration of not only the agriculture industry but also the culinary culture and food management system.
