Loud parties, erratic driving concern residents in Crescent Acres
A Prince Albert city councillor is raising concerns over loud parties, fast cars and littering at a local community park.
Ward 6 Coun. Blake Edwards says residents in his area are concerned about negative activity at the Crescent Acres Community Club. He says the parking lot and surrounding green space has become a hot spot for alcohol-fueled parties and speeding, and neighbours are concerned.
“What’s happening is they’re coming and they’re parking and they’re running their vehicles steady and there’s lots of drinking going and the concerns from the citizens are large right now,” Edwards told paNOW.
Edwards wants city council to look at security measures for the area, including cameras, speed bumps both at the entrance to the parking and inside the parking lot, fence posts to stop people from driving onto the grass and gates to deter people from going inside the park after 11 p.m.
