A Prince Albert woman was charged with cocaine trafficking after officers with the city’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team found drugs and paraphernalia while executing a search warrant.

The combined-forces team, which includes members of the Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP, executed the search warrant at a residence in the 1200-block of 28th St. E. March 30. Inside the home, police arrested three people and located 12.6 grams of cocaine along with drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Although three people were initially arrested, only one woman was charged. Police said the 34-year-old suspect from Prince Albert was charged with cocaine trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime. The suspect will make her first appearance April 9 in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

The charges have not yet been tested before the courts.
