Birch Hills finish silver to Grizzlies in 3A Boys Hoopla final

If Birch Hills seemed a little deserted on Saturday, it’s because all its residents were crammed into Carlton’s red gym to watch their beloved Marauders.
The Marauders picked up a silver medal in the 3A Boys division as they got to the finals, but fell 74-56 to the Regina Christian Grizzlies.
The Marauders were slow out of the gates, down 11-1 in the opening six minutes of the game. They didn’t make their first field goal until there were 3:30 left in the opening frame.
But once the Marauders found their rhythm, they were able to crawl right back into the game. The Marauders put the pressure on in the second quarter and trailed by just a pair, 31-29 at the half.
