On Saturday, September 30th, on the E.A. Rawlinson Centre Stage, three additions will be inducted into the Prince Albert Arts Hall of Fame.
Arts Volunteer: Teena Polle offers her services where ever she feels she will do some good; she volunteers through the PA Health Region, EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts, and she served on the Arts Board for many years as a Director. She has volunteered at local events as a judge, the PA Grand Council Fine Arts Festival for at least 15 years, as an example. Volunteers like Teena are very hard to find, she is dedicated, loyal to her commitments, and always dependable.
Builder of the Arts: Mitch Holash has lived in Prince Albert since 1973. He has actively been involved in the community spear heading many projects for our community. Most notably, in terms of the arts community, the building of the E.A. Rawlinson Centre. Mitch Holash was the original chair of the Prince Albert Arts Board since its inception in 1995 until 2012. This is one of the many areas of work that Mitch contributed to the arts community as a builder. Mitch worked tirelessly to ensure the health of the PA Arts Board and the of the E.A. Rawlinson Centre. His commitment to the growth of the Centre was incredible. Further, Mitch, Sheila and their family all performed on stage in many Broadway North productions, and have demonstrated great commitment to the arts community in Prince Albert.
Arts Organization: The Prince Albert Council for the Arts was established in 1967 by a group of volunteers to maintain and sponsor artistic activities in Prince Albert. In 1975 the Council joined OSAC and they remain a member to this day. Their efforts have meant that people can learn, pursue, and appreciate all arts forms here in Prince Albert.
