Winter Festival in full swing

The Prince Albert Winter Festival has kicked off with the crowning of Mr. and Mrs. Winter Festival.

On Thursday Joe and Rita Jacobs were given their sash.

The pair will be attending several of the activities throughout the week.

Events during the Festival

Voices of the North from Feb.12 – 14th with an extra cabaret show on the last day and a Northern Spirits Showcase.

Jigging Contest on Feb. 15th

Harmonica and Accordion Show is on Feb. 16

Beard Derby Judging is on Feb. 17th

Variety – The Next Generation Youth Talent Show is on Feb.18

Classic Country Show is on Feb. 19

Country North Show is Feb. 20 and 21 with a cabaret on the last day

Children’s Carnival is Feb.21 and 22 at Alfred Jenkins Centre

Gospel Music Show is Feb. 22

According to Winter Festival organizers, all events need a $3-button.  You can buy them at Smitty’s, Wrapper Jack’s, Prince Albert Tourism, Diamond North Credit Union, Access Tire, Credit Union on Second Avenue West, Fas Gas, Conexus Credit Union (Downtown), Dr. Java’s, TD Bank, Royal Bank, Tigger’s, CIBC, or the Holiday Inn.
