Riders’ scheduled released by CFL

Feb 13, 2015 | 10:52 AM

The CFL annoyed a lot of football fans by making them tweet 10,000 times before releasing this year’s schedule.

By logging on to Twitter and clicking on the CFL’s profile, fans could vote and tweet their prediction for who will win the 103rd Grey Cup. While some tipped their hats to the CFL, many expressed their disapproval of the media stunt.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will open their regular season at home on June 27 (Sat) against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at 6 p.m.

The regular season home schedule has the Riders playing at Mosaic Stadium on Friday (1), Saturday (4), and Sunday (4). Each team will visit Regina once and Winnipeg will visit Mosaic Stadium twice.

On the road, the Roughriders will play three Friday games, four Saturday games and two Sunday games.

Mosaic Stadium will host the famed Labour Day Classic against the Blue Bombers on Sept. 6 (Sun) at 2 p.m.

The Riders will play their first pre-season game on June 13 (Sat) when they travel to Fort McMurray to play the Edmonton Eskimos. The Roughriders’ final pre-season game against the Calgary Stampeders will be at home on June 19 (Fri) at 7:30 p.m.
