Bluegrass at E. A. Rawlison Centre with In With the Old
Spotlight on Talent features: In With the Old February 21st at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
In With The Old is a Saskatchewan Bluegrass band which includes the members Jaxon Lalonde, 15; the banjo/bass player, Kasia Thorlakson, 16; mandolin, guitar, and bass player, and Ellen Froese Kooijenga, 18, guitar and mandolin player in this bluegrassy, old timey, folk band trio.
They released a CD last summer and have since been turning some heads in the music scene. They launched their success with a national online song contest where they got a lot of votes and recognition and followed up with a Telemiracle spot and that opened up a showcase at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards which led to a blow out encore standing ovation at the industry gala.
Since then, they have played Danceland, NessCreek Festival, Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Time Music Festival, and The Bassment as well as so many other gigs.
