According to meteorologist Henri Dagenais, the spring-like conditions that Prince Albert has enjoyed the past week, will last a couple more days.

“On Wednesday we’re going to start cooling down but we are still going to be above normal for the day by seven degrees,” said Dagenais.

The average high for this time of year for Prince Albert is -14 C.  The average nighttime low is – 23 C.  Last week daytime highs were on average about 10 degrees warmer.  The temperature last Wednesday and Friday reached 8 C, smashing previous records.

He said normal January conditions should start to return by the middle of next week.  He added that as a meteorologist it becomes exciting when conditions stray from the norms.

“I’m predicting the coldest week will be from the 21st to the 28th of Feb. because I’m going south,” said Dagenais, who is looking forward to his Feb. holiday.

The high on Monday reached 6 C, smashing the 1989 record of 5.7 C.
