The Prince Albert Raiders are continuing a beneficial program to help young hockey players by learning and training with major junior league players.

The Frank Dunn Toyota Future Raiders program has been running since 2009 and it allows kids aged seven and eight to practice drills, and develop skills with current Raiders.

During the first session, forward Reid Gardiner, centre Darcy Zaharichuk and defenseman Colton Heffley were on hand for practice with the young future prospects at the East End Arena.

“It’s definitely an honour just knowing I can help these kids and knowing I can get them to the next level,” said Zaharichuk.
