The city is investigating an incident which occurred at the Ches Leach Lounge in the Art Hauser Centre, on Dec. 21.

City officials report that during a scheduled Christmas Party for the Crown Royals hockey team, the facility was damaged and a city personnel was assaulted.

“This facility is a public asset. We can’t sit back and ignore it when a situation like this occurs and I don’t think it’s too much to ask that our employees are able to go to work and feel safe,” said Mayor Greg Dionne in the media release. “It is our obligation to look into this matter further and ensure the proper individuals are held accountable for their actions.”

The Prince Albert Police Service hasn’t confirmed if they are investigating the incident.
