RCMP confirm three elders found

Rosthern RCMP have officially updated the status of three elders who went missing from the Beardy’s First Nation.

They were found safe in their truck, which had become stuck in the snow north of Duck Lake.

The three elderly men were uninjured and able to stay warm inside the vehicle until they were located, according to RCMP reports.

They were reported missing Friday evening after leaving together in a truck from the community that afternoon.

RCMP said the men were located quickly thanks to the efforts of family and friends who assisted in search and rescue efforts.
