Country North Show finds a producer

Jan 11, 2015 | 11:18 AM

The Prince Albert Winter Festival will be bringing back an old favourite to help produce the long-running Country North Show this year.

Paul Lomheim has been announced as producer, after two years on hiatus.

Indoor Events Co-ordinator for the Winter Festival, Trina Joseph, said that Lomheim’s previous experience with the show will be an asset to the event with the short time frame they have to put it together.

“We needed someone who could pull off a great show, while incorporating some changes to the format,” said Joseph. “Paul has always put together an excellent show, and we’re excited about the new ideas he’s bringing to the show.”

The Classic Country Show will be returning this year as well which will also be produced by Lomheim.

The Classic Country Show runs on Thursday Feb. 19 at 7 p.m., followed by the Country North Show on Friday Feb. 20 and Saturday Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. on both nights.

The Country North Cabaret will provide some late-night entertainment on Saturday Feb. 21 at 10 p.m. featuring performers from the Country North Show and yet to be announced local performers as well.

All the performances are set to take place at the Prince Albert Exhibition Centre.

If you’re interested in auditioning for either show you can contact Paul Lomheim at 306-980-5345 or e-mail.
