The Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) supports community projects that enhance the quality of life for children, youth and adults of all ages. Projects may involve childhood development, youth involvement, volunteer leadership, physical activities, Aboriginal inclusion, facility upgrades or renovations, and milestone or cultural community celebrations.

Reminder: FEBRUARY 1 APPLICATION DEADLINE

For Summer Programs Only

February 1st is the deadline to apply for our Community Grant Program Summer Grants. Our summer grant program is intended to support projects and activities that provide summer recreation programming for children and youth. Eligible projects include camps, local culture and recreation programs, and mobile playgrounds that are offered between May 1 and August 30.

Please note that summer grants are specific to only these types of activities for children and youth. Projects that occur during the summer but that do not fall within the description above should be applied for at the April 1st deadline.
