SPCA hires new executive director

The Prince Albert SPCA has confirmed its board has hired a new executive director, John Morash.

Morash will start in his new role on Monday. He served as the publisher of the Prince Albert Daily Herald.

He will be replacing Dave Young weeks after the organization let him go in December. The SPCA did not give a specific reason for his dismissal.

He held the position for less than a week.

Young, who previously the manager of the Prince Albert Exhibition, was chosen to fill the vacancy left behind by longtime executive director Debbie Lehner. Lehner ended her tenure on Oct. 15.
