Riders stop by SPCA before Raise the Woof party

Dec 31, 2014 | 3:42 PM

The SPCA’s Raise the Woof event is likely the biggest New Year’s Eve party in Prince Albert.

On Wednesday afternoon, four former Roughriders and a comedian started the party early with a visit to the SPCA facility.

Comedian Andrew Albert and former Roughriders Nate Davis, Ventson Donelson, Andrew Greene, and Renauld Williams’ next trip of the day was to the Exhibition Centre, where the Raise the Woof event takes place for New Year’s Eve.

Organizers for the fundraiser for the shelter are urging people to wear their Riders gear.

In addition to those special guests, Albert and more will start a comedy performance at 8 p.m.

Heading into midnight and beyond, Maxwell Music will deejay as the dance floor opens up.

There will be a cash bar, catered midnight dinner, door prizes, and a silent auction.

The event wouldn’t be complete without champagne to toast the New Year.

Ding in the New Year bus service will make its way by the venue throughout the night as well.
