A business in Shellbrook has burned down following a fire early Friday morning.
Shellbrook RCMP report that police and Shellbrook Fire officials were called to the scene of the business on Main Street around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Shellbrook mayor George Tomporowski confirmed that the business was Dee Geeās Confectionary, which has been in the community for over 25 years.
Tomporowski said that while the Affinity Credit Union was just adjacent to the burning building, firefighters were able to save it with only minimal damage caused.
