Winter’s conditions prove tricky for drivers

A bit of snow and ice appears to have brought back a little more chaos on the roads this weekend.

Parkland Ambulance officials report that paramedics responded to four separate accidents in and around the city.

On Saturday around 8 a.m. paramedics responded to an accident on 10th Avenue East near the Stuart Arena.

A 16-year-old girl received minor injuries and was taken to Victoria Hospital for further care.

Later that day around 6:30 p.m. paramedics were called out to Highway 3 for a car versus wildlife incident.

A car hit an unspecified animal on Highway 3 near Ed’s Inn about 7 kilometers west of the city, although there were no injuries reported from the scene.

And around 8:30 p.m. paramedics visited an accident in the 1600 block of Muzzy Drive where an 18-year-old female was injured.

She was taken to Victoria Hospital in good condition.

Finally the an accident on 15th Avenue and 15th Street East sent a 25-year-old man and 24-year-old woman to hospital with injuries.

Officials report both were in good and stable condition.
