The Prince Albert Mintos managed to blow a three-goal lead but still come up with a 6-3 win against the Moose Jaw Generals Saturday afternoon at the Art Hauser Centre.

After watching their three-goal lead evaporate into a thing of the past, the Mintos scored two goals within a 15-second span in the third period to regain the lead.

Mintos forward Chris Van Os-Shaw scored his second goal of the game with 8:24 left in the third period, right before affiliate Kent Hanson picked his first Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League goal to improve the Mintos’ lead to 5-3.

Van Os-Shaw was playing on the top-line alongside Reed Gunville and Brett Harasmyk and took full advantage of the opportunity with a hat trick. He completed the hat trick with an empty net goal with 20.7 seconds left in the game. He had three goals on the season heading into Saturday’s contest.
