Local judo club hosts tournament for beginners

The Prince Albert Kenshukan Judo Club hosted a tournament on Saturday for children aged 7-14 that are starting out in the sport.

The tournament drew judoka from all over the province, but they were mainly from northern Saskatchewan, Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Stanley Mission. The children taking part were white, yellow and orange belts.

The tournament is geared towards newer members and kids who started out last year that weren’t eligible to compete, and aims to give them experience in competition.
