Drunk driving reports keep police busy

Police in Prince Albert were kept fairly busy with calls reporting drunk driving over the weekend.

Officers received 12 calls relating to drunk drivers around the city and there were seven arrests made as a result of those calls.

According to officials, extra members were brought in to help deal with the possibility of intoxicated driving over the long weekend.

There was also an incident where drunk driving resulted in an accident.

On Saturday morning, officers were called to an accident in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue East. Two vehicles were involved in the accident, although no injuries were reported.

A 24-year-old woman has been charged with impaired driving.
