Mr. Mikes offers good food and gives back

Oct 6, 2014 | 7:19 AM

Special guests and dignitaries from around Prince Albert gathered together Saturday night for a good cause.

As part of a special pre-opening of the new Mr. Mikes franchise in Prince Albert, the restaurant hosted a special auction.

While guests were able to sample some of the signature foods and drinks the chain restaurant has to offer, they also bid on special Roughriders swag with special guest and former player Don Narcisse helping give it all away.

During the auction $4,700 was raised with all proceeds going towards the Big Brothers Big Sisters Prince Albert Chapter.

Allyson Wall, marketing and recruitment co-ordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters said the company has also offered to donate 10 per cent of all of its sales from the upcoming official opening day to the chapter as well.

The first official day for Mr. Mikes Prince Albert is Monday.

This is the third Mr. Mikes to open in Saskatchewan with locations in Yorkton and Regina, and a fourth location opening in Saskatoon later this year.
