The Birch Hills Golf Course wants to replace the 100 year old club house facility for the benefit of our town and surrounding communities.

We feel that further investment in the current building would be a waste, considering the age of the structure, as well as the fact that we have also outgrown it.  Every year, our club hosts a number of tournaments with groups from Prince Albert and surrounding area.  Our present facility is too small to host events.

Golfers from Kinistino, St. Louis, Muskoday First Nation, James Smith First Nation and Prince Albert frequent our course on a regular basis.

As part of our five year growth plan, the Birch Hills Golf Course decided to start the process of building a new club house.  Over the last several years, we have concentrated on improving the golf course grounds and providing the equipment to do that.  With the improvements made to the golf course and the adjacent sports grounds and campgrounds, this new club house will be a benefit to Birch Hills and surrounding communities.

We plan to replace our club house with one that can be used year round. We have a trail walking group and a local cross country ski group, which builds trails through our course in the winter and could use the winterized club house.  During the winter and holiday season, there is also an opportunity for private bookings with staff parties, weddings, family reunions, etc.

Our total budget is set at $325,000.  We presently have approximately $50,000 in an account available for construction and operations.  In addition, we have raised approximately $30,000 through fundraising and donations.  We have ongoing fundraising activities including golf tournaments and draws.  The Birch Hills Golf Course will also be soliciting donations from individuals and corporations.  Our ball diamonds, camp grounds and golf course are very efficiently managed and provide excellent recreation programs for Birch Hills and surrounding communities. This development has happened over a period of years.  Building a new club house will further enrich our community recreation use. Thank you for considering the Birch Hills Golf Course Clubhouse for the Aviva Community Fund.
