The Carlton Comprehensive High School golf team is looking for another successful tournament at the Provincials.

Golfers from across Saskatchewan will attend the event this weekend in Nipawin.

The team of golfers playing for Carlton include Grade 10s Brooke Hobson and Kayla Sawchuck, Grade 12s Zach Hurd, Cory Sawchuck, Cory Selander, and Grade 10 Mikhail Tait who is subbing in for Cole Hobson who cannot make it.

“Well, we have been very fortunate to have four players on our team that play competitive golf in the summer season. So, when it comes time for high school golf, we are very prepared and extremely focused on the task at hand. It’s a great group of guys that work hard for one another, so when it comes time to get our jobs done, we know what it takes,” said Zach Hurd when asked how their team has been able to be so successful.

The girls and boys teams both won provincials last year as a team and Cory Sawchuck won the boys individual while Kayla Sawchuck won the girls individual.

They will all hope they can repeat their success this year too.
