Sep 24, 2014 | 2:29 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders announced Wednesday that assistant coach Tim Leonard has resigned for personal reasons.

Leonard signed with the Raiders on Mar. 28, 2012 and coached with the team for the past two seasons.

Prior to his time with the Raiders, Leonard was Prince Albert Mintos Midget AAA team head coach for the previous seven seasons and won back-to-back Telus Cups in 2006 and 2007. According to Mintos manager Don Fauchoux, Leonard will return with the Mintos this season.

“He’s a hard working guy that coaches with a lot of passion,” said Raiders general manager Bruno Campese. “He’s had a lot of success, obviously at the major midget level and he’s worked extremely hard here.”
