Health fair encourages active lifestyles
SIAST Woodland campus hosted a health fair at their Technical Building on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. About 20 different vendors came out to talk about things people can do to eat healthy and improve their lifestyles.
Lisa Davis, program head of recreation services, said the health fair is a good opportunity for people to find out about what they can do to lead a healthy lifestyle.
“We think it’s important because sometimes our students and the staff as well don’t necessarily have all of the tools and information that they need to make educated decisions about their health,” she said.
Charlene Bernard, at the Cancer Society booth, said it’s important people know about how they can prevent cancer.
