A Prince Albert Collegiate Institute (PACI) Fun Run was held on Tuesday in Prince Albert to kick off the cross-country season. Greg Walker, an organizer with the event, said the run has been going on for about the past 15 years.

“It is a fun run, so we encourage people from all ability levels and people who’ve trained seriously and other people who are just coming out and trying it for the first time,” said Walker.

Around 300 students from Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division and surrounding area came to participate in the run. Students from Grade 4 to Grade 12 took part in the run, which was a course from the school, to the Kinsmen Park and back to the school.

Elementary school athletes ran one lap, Grade 8 students ran two laps and high school athletes ran three laps.
