A man and a teen are facing attempted-murder charges after gunshots were reported in a Regina neighbourhood last week.

Last Wednesday, the Regina Police Service (RPS) told the public a gun had been found in a home on the 500 block of Montreal Street. Officers were searching the area after receiving a call Tuesday night reporting gunshots nearby. At the time, RPS said no suspects or victims were found.

On Monday, RPS said a blue car was also found with bullet holes in the front and passenger-side door. Two victims were identified, an 18-year-old man and 17-year-old woman. Neither person was hurt.

On Friday, police arrested a 22-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy in the case.

The teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces eight charges. The charges are two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with bearspray, possession of bearspray, breach of undertaking, and two charges of failing to comply.

The man charged, Scott Edward Andrew Pelltier, faces seven charges. The charges are two counts of attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a handgun, possession of a restricted firearm, possession of a firearm obtained in a crime, two charges of breach of recognizance.

Both appeared in court Monday morning.
