Yikes, is it just me or did the pages of the 2012 calendar fly off the wall faster than cookies in the cookie-jar?

With less than 2 months to go and the hustle and bustle of the holidays drawing near – how are you feeling? I mean really, how are you? When people ask you how you are, consider using that as a cue to ask yourself – “How am I?” Say on the energy scale, are you a two or a nine, on the happiness scale are you a three or an eight? It could be a great way to gauge what you need to do next.

Since I can’t hear you, I’m going to guess how you might answer and give you some possible ideas to shift into the next gear – pick which one resonates with you:

Steph, my energy is like a two – okay, stand up, move around, throw your arms in the arms and wave, drink a glass of water, pop on a fast beat song you love.Get my friend Michelle Cederberg’s book, Energy Now.

Steph, I’m feeling STRESSED – okay, tell three people that you require help. Tell them specifically what you need them to do (give them choices, if possible) and let them help – even if it’s not perfect. Look at your issue from a bird’s eye view – how important will this be in five years? Perspective is a gift.

Steph, I’m feeling BLESSED -Lucky and smart you! Write down what you are grateful for in a journal, share it online to inspire others, keep up doing what you are doing. Get my free Guided Journal here.

Steph, I’m feeling EXHAUSTED – Set a bedtime and three times this week stick to it! The whole world won’t fall apart – trust me. One hour before said bedtime – turn off your screens, get organized for the next day, do your bedtime hygiene and then give yourself a bedtime regime (pray, read, meditate). Good night.

Steph, I’m feeling BORED – Google ‘what’s going on in’ your city, pick one or two things that sound cool to you and go, call a friend, try a meet-up, drive to a different end of town and walk the dog there, borrow a dog to walk, do something -anything – different!

Steph, I’m feeling APATHETIC – pick a cause, something you can get excited about and give them a call, ask how you can be of service. There is nothing like being of service to those in need to draw you out of an apathetic frame of mind.

If I didn’t capture your feelings adequately, feel free to click reply, and I’ll try to help!

November marks my birthday, happy birthday to me! Even if I’m not thrilled with some of the things aging brings, I am thrilled to be able to be around to see my kids thrive, have fun and make a difference in this world. Aging is way better than the alternative!

To celebrate I would like to offer six people an invitation to do something with me that will help spread the Love Everywhere project. The catch is, you come up with the idea and I’ll happily tag along. I look forward to getting to know you better! Then I can ask “How you are?” and really hear your answers!

November 12 is Winnipeg’s first Motivational Monday – music, motivation and more! It will be great – hope you can come, register now at www.momondays.com – it’s almost sold out, there may not be any seats left if you hope to get them at the door.
